Mission

Vision

"North West Provider Network Ltd (NWPN Ltd) is an association of the 5 NW area WBL Networks dedicated to raising the standards and professionalism of work-based learning regionally." To show that WBL is key in helping to develop the skills of the NW people.

Mission Statement

"As a provider representative organisation, the NWPN Ltd will support the NW WBL area networks and NW Government Agencies/Departments in understanding and improving the quality of WBL provision to meet the skills needs of the NW and will assist in developing highly skilled practitioners and managers within the WBL Sector"

This mission will be achieved by:

  • Establishing high-level strategic relationships with LSC, NWDA and other relevant bodies in the NW
  • Representing WBL views in strategic developments in the NW.
  • Promoting the WBL brand in delivering National and Regional Priorities
  • Delivering support to providers which enables them to achieve regional and national targets
  • Being a forward thinking organisation - working towards excellence
  • Moving towards a sustainable network within three years

This will be measured by:

  • Being perceived by members and stakeholders as worthwhile.

Objectives

To achieve the Mission and Vision the NWPN Ltd has set the following strategic objectives:

  • To promote Work Based Learning and further the aims and interests of NW members.
  • To provide the opportunity for sub regional member networks to formulate common policy.
  • To foster collaboration between members through the dissemination of information and materials.
  • To encourage links with other bodies associated with the activities of the NWPN Ltd.
  • To promote improved quality of learning and to publicise the objectives of the NWPN Ltd.
  • To provide a means of co-ordinating and representing the views of NW regional and sub regional members.
  • To ensure that wherever possible the views of providers across the whole of the North West Region are represented by the elected Members and those officers delegated to attend.
  • To employ appropriate staff to deliver the consortium objectives.
  • To be the principal communication network for Work Based Learning issues, including liaising with the Regional LSC, RDA, GONW and others over funding and strategy.
  • To acquire funds to support the work of the NWPN by collaborative bidding.
  • To encourage benchmarking and best practice between sub regions to improve delivery methods and maximisation of available funding for members.
  • To assist all key stakeholders e.g. LSC, NWDA to achieve their objectives.
  • To deliver any other activities which the Board of the NWPN agrees.
